NoteLocation & Long-Term Career Growth

We prioritize candidates who live within reasonable commuting distance to both our Vancouver (West Broadway) and New Westminster (East Columbia) clinics, and who plan to build a lasting career with our practice. Team members rotate between both locations. This partnership ensures:

  • Your financial stability — Minimal commuting costs preserve more of your earnings, especially important for our part-time variable hour roles
  • Your work-life balance — Short commutes to both clinics mean more personal time and reduced daily stress
  • Mutual training investment — We invest significantly in your specialized development and mentorship
  • 10-year career growth — Long-term commitment unlocks advancement opportunities within our practice

If your commute to either clinic exceeds 30 minutes or you plan to relocate, we still welcome your application! Simply include a brief explanation in your application package about your genuine long-term commitment to remaining with our practice for 10+ years and why you’re confident managing travel to both locations.

TipWhy Local Commitment Matters

Our specialized pediatric care program requires significant training investment in each team member. We’re seeking professionals who view this as a long-term home for their career, not a stepping stone. When team members stay, we can:

  • Deepen your expertise — Advance from foundational skills to specialized leadership roles
  • Reduce your commute stress — Build stability without relocating every few years
  • Preserve team continuity — Maintain the relationships and protocols that make our practice exceptional
  • Ensure your career growth — Invest in your professional development knowing you’ll be here to apply it

This mutual commitment is what makes our team work well together.

What Matters Here

Our priority is always the child’s wellbeing. Every clinical decision starts there. We also value:

  • Continuous learning — Pediatric dentistry evolves, and we stay current
  • Parent communication — We explain treatment plans clearly and build trust
  • Teamwork — Small team, so everyone contributes and supports each other
  • High standards — We earn our reputation through consistent quality of care

Video-Based Training

We maintain an internal video library of clinical procedures and workflows. As a team member, you’ll learn from recorded examples during onboarding and may be recorded during clinical work to help train future staff. This is part of how we maintain consistent quality across the team.

Please note: video recording of clinical work is a standard part of working here. Let us know if you have questions about this.

Employment Commitment & Notice Reserve Incentive

ImportantPlease Read Before Applying

We invest heavily in your development. New team members receive extensive mentorship, specialized training, and hands-on supervision. This investment is substantial—we’re building long-term team members, not filling temporary positions.

Your compensation includes a Notice Reserve Incentive (NRI):

  • A competitive NRI amount is determined individually during offer negotiation
  • NRI credits accrue monthly and accumulate over your entire tenure
  • NRI vests and becomes payable when you resign WITH adequate notice
  • Full vesting requires 9 months written notice
  • Tiered vesting for shorter notice periods (see table below)
  • Resignation with less than 4 months notice = NRI does not vest
  • The longer you work with us, the more NRI you accumulate
Notice Given NRI Vesting
9+ months 100%
6+ months 30%
5+ months 20%
4+ months 10%
< 4 months 0%

If we terminate your employment (not for cause), you receive 100% of accumulated NRI.

Why we do this: We’re a small team without redundancy. When someone leaves without adequate notice, patient care suffers and remaining team members absorb significant burden. We need time to recruit, hire, and train your replacement.

We understand this is a significant commitment. If you have questions about our NRI structure, please contact us — we’re happy to discuss it before you apply.
