Your Path to Joining Our Team

Tip5-Step Application Process
  1. Talk to Ricky — A quick phone or text conversation to discuss the role and answer your questions
  2. Submit Your Application Package — Resume, references, Vocaroo self-introduction, and schedule preferences
  3. Complete Preflight Reading — Read “A Day in Our Practice” and submit the Reflection Form (~30 min)
  4. Interview — Dr. Tsang contacts shortlisted candidates
  5. Paid Working Interview — Work alongside our team for a half-day at the clinic

Step 1: Talk to Ricky

TipLet’s Start With a Conversation

The first step is a quick phone call or text with our Recruitment Coordinator. This is an informal conversation — we’ll discuss the role, answer your questions, and make sure the position is a good fit for what you’re looking for.

  • Email: dmd0876@gmail.com
  • Available weekdays — call or text anytime during business hours.

You can also reach us through Indeed.com Messages.

Step 2: Submit Your Application Package

NoteEmail To: dmd0876@gmail.com

Include [Position Title] in your email subject line (e.g., “Application: Treatment Coordinator”).

TipWhat to Include

Email the following items to dmd0876@gmail.com:

  1. Your resume — highlighting relevant experience and qualifications
  2. At least 2 professional references — contact information for people who can speak to your work experience
  3. Vocaroo self-introduction — a short voice recording (2–3 minutes) telling us about yourself, your goals, and why you’re interested in the role. Record free at vocaroo.com and include the shareable link.
  4. Your preferred work schedule — availability and any scheduling constraints
  5. Location & Commitment Statement (if applicable) — If your one-way commute to either clinic (Vancouver or New Westminster) exceeds 30 minutes, include a brief note about your long-term commitment

Our team will review your materials and contact your references.

Step 3: Complete Preflight Reading

TipRead, Reflect, Submit

After we review your application, you’ll complete a short reading that introduces how our practice approaches clinical care:

  1. Read A Day in Our Practice — Six real-world clinical scenarios across three roles (~15–20 min)
  2. Submit the Preflight Reflection Form — Six short reflection prompts including a role-specific question (~10–15 min)

There are no trick questions. We’re interested in how you think, not perfect answers.

Step 4: Interview

After reviewing your Preflight Reflection, Dr. Tsang will contact shortlisted candidates to schedule an interview. We’ll reach out directly by phone or email.

Prepare to discuss your qualifications, your interest in pediatric dentistry, and what you’re looking for in a long-term role.

Step 5: Paid Working Interview

NoteYour Path to Team Membership

Selected candidates are invited to a paid working interview at one of our clinics. This is a hands-on session where you work alongside our team with real patients under Dr. Tsang’s supervision.

Session Details:

  • Duration: Half-day minimum (3–4 hours). Morning sessions focus on sedation cases; afternoon sessions focus on consultation.
  • Compensation: This is a paid session — you will be compensated for your time.
  • Availability: Limited slots on Thursdays and Fridays

Please plan your schedule accordingly. Early scheduling helps secure your preferred slot.

NoteWhat to Expect

During your working interview, you will:

  • Work alongside our clinical team with real patients under supervision
  • Demonstrate your hands-on clinical skills in a live practice environment
  • Meet our team and Dr. Phoebe Tsang directly
  • Experience our workflow, pace, and patient demographics firsthand

Why we do it this way:

  • You see exactly what the job looks like — no surprises after you’re hired
  • We evaluate your actual clinical skills, not just interview answers
  • Both sides confirm fit before committing — you’re evaluating us too
  • Candidates who stay for a full day (morning sedation + afternoon consultation) get the most complete picture

After your working interview, Dr. Tsang will follow up with you directly about next steps.
